A complaint was lodged with the Chennai Police Commissioner on behalf of the Tamil Nadu BJP alleging that the YouTube channel ‘Karuppar Koottam’ had criticized the ‘Kanda Sashti Kavasam’ substandardly and hurt the feelings of Hindus.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the posting of a controversial video on the Kanda Sashti Kavasam on Karuppar Koottam YouTube channel following the complaint. Two more are currently being held by central vigilant team.
Surendran and Senthilvasan have already been arrested in connection with the controversial video, while Somasundaram and Kugan have been arrested by the CID. All the videos on the Karuppar Koottam YouTube channel have been deleted as the cyber crime police took action to remove more than 500 videos from the Karuppar Koottam YouTube channel in this complaint. All the videos have now been deleted as the police have already submitted a letter to the YouTube India to remove these videos.
Maridhas is one of the main people responsible in removing these videos as he fought against this issue from the day these controversial videos were posted. He has Tweeted and thanks Youtube India for taking action in removing these videos
